About Me

Hello!

My name is Rachel Gianatasio and I am a Boston photographer. I graduated with a BFA in Digital Art and Interactive Media from Northeastern University (go Huskies!). I spend most of my time working as a studio manager at Elevin Studios, a photography studio in South Boston.

Photography is my career, focus and passion. Over the past few years, I have been fortunate enough to work with a variety of great photographers as well as maintain my own freelance business. My current position at Elevin Studios began with an incredible 6-month internship. At Elevin, I work alongside award-winning photographer, Eric Levin, in a variety of photographic genres including portraiture, fashion, events, editorial, interior design, and real estate.

During the Summer of 2014, I interned with the Photography Department at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. I worked with a team of fantastic photographers and was given the opportunity to not only be involved with the intense editing process but also frequently be behind the camera.  I was also thrilled to have a photo featured in the museum's award-winning magazine, Collections

I am also heavily involved in photography at Northeastern. My Instagram habits caught the attention of the College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD) and inspired the CAMD Photos of the Week series. Subsequently, I joined a group of passionate and dedicated peers as CAMD Student Ambassadors. Whether I am asked to shoot an event or wandering the halls of the art building creating my own projects, I am always taking pictures and staying involved.
